Le week-end dernier, #EducommunicAfrik a organisé une conférence a eu lieu à Léo (province de la Sissili). Animée par le Secrétaire général de la province de la Sissili, M.Baouwinddsuda BINGO ; le Président du Tribunal de grande instance de Léo, M. Abou Bakary HIE et le Directeur de la police municipale de Léo, M. Moumini TRAORE, la conférence avait pour thème : « rôle et responsabilité des jeunes dans la justice sociale et la sécurité ». La cérémonie d’ouverture a été présidée par le Haut-Commissaire de la province de la Sissili, M. Téwindé Isaac SIA. L’objectif global de cette conférence était de permettre jeunes de Léo de comprendre les notions de justice sociale et de sécurité, d’en maitriser les enjeux dans un contexte de défis sécuritaires pour être plus outillés et mieux engagés à contribuer efficacement à la prévention et la lutte contre la radicalisation et l’extrémisme violent dans la Sissili. Durant donc près de deux heures de communications et de débats, les jeunes de Léo (majoritairement composés d’élèves, d’étudiants et responsables d’Organisations de jeunesse de la localité), ont pu être outillés sur les généralités des concepts « la justice sociale », « sécurité » et pu échanger à bâton rompu avec les premières autorités en charge de ces questions dans la province de la Sissili sur ce qui doivent et ce qui peuvent être leur rôle et leur responsabilité dans la préservation de la justice sociale et dans la consolidation de la paix dans leur région. L’organisation de la conférence de Léo entre dans le cadre de la mise en œuvre du projet « Participation positive des jeunes et des femmes dans la prévention de la radicalisation et l’extrémisme violent dans la province de la Sissili ». Il est mis en œuvre par EducommunicAfrik depuis septembre 2022 en partenariat avec l’ Ambassade du Canada au Burkina Faso et au Bénin à travers le Fonds canadien d’initiatives locales (#FCIL). ______________________________ SOCIAL JUSTICE AND SECURITY AT LEO: THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY OF YOUNG PEOPLE DISCUSSED DURING A CONFERENCE Last weekend, EducommunicAfrik organized a conference held in Léo (province of Sissili). Led by the Secretary General of the province of Sissili, Mr. Baouwinddsuda BINGO; the President of the Tribunal de grande instance of Léo, Mr. Abou Bakary HIE and the Director of the municipal police of Léo, Mr. Moumini TRAORE, the theme of the conference was: "role and responsibility of young people in social justice and security" . The opening ceremony was chaired by the High Commissioner of the province of Sissili, Mr. Téwindé Isaac SIA. The overall objective of this conference was to allow young people from Léo to understand the notions of social justice and security, to master the issues in a context of security challenges in order to be better equipped and better committed to contributing effectively to prevention and the fight against radicalization and violent extremism in Sissili. During nearly two hours of presentations and debates, the young people of Léo (mainly made up of pupils, students and leaders of local youth organizations) were able to learn about the generalities of the concepts of "justice social", "security" and was able to discuss at will with the first authorities in charge of these questions in the province of Sissili on what should and what can be their role and their responsibility in the preservation of social justice and in consolidation of peace in their region. The organization of the Léo conference is part of the implementation of the project "Positive participation of young people and women in the prevention of radicalization and violent extremism in the province of Sissili". It has been implemented by EducommunicAfrik since September 2022 in partnership with the Embassy of Canada to Burkina Faso and Benin through the Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives (#CFLI).
